Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Civil / Structural Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in civil engineering, good technical understanding, and an interest in structural drafting and design.
The position is open to candidates with 1–5 years of relevant experience. Freshers with relevant technical skills and a willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma in Civil Engineering
- B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
Experience
- 1–5 years of relevant experience in civil/structural engineering, drafting, or design.
- Freshers with relevant skills and technical knowledge can also apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and develop detailed civil and structural drawings based on engineering requirements.
- Create and modify 2D drawings using AutoCAD and/or structural modeling/drafting tools.
- Assist structural engineers in the preparation of design drawings, layouts, and documentation.
- Interpret architectural, structural, and engineering drawings accurately.
- Coordinate with engineers and other project team members to incorporate design changes and revisions.
- Ensure drawings comply with project requirements, design standards, and applicable codes.
- Assist in preparing structural details, plans, sections, elevations, and construction drawings.
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, dimensions, and consistency.
- Maintain proper drawing standards, file organization, and project documentation.
- Support the engineering team in resolving drafting and design-related issues.
- Deliver assigned drawings and documentation within project schedules.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Civil Engineering fundamentals.
- Good understanding of structural drawings and construction documentation.
- Hands-on working experience with AutoCAD or Tekla is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Good understanding of dimensions, layouts, detailing, and drafting practices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and engineering documentation.
- Ability to work independently as well as as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to US Codes and Standards is preferred.
- Familiarity with international structural drafting and documentation standards will be an advantage.
- Experience working on residential, commercial, industrial, or other structural projects is desirable.
- Knowledge of structural steel or reinforced concrete detailing will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with Tekla Structures and/or advanced AutoCAD workflows is a plus.
